The constitution of the United States is serious in protecting the welfare of the workers. Any violation committed against the constitution entails strict penalty and considered a grievous offense against the people. They are majorly dealt with in court. One of the most breached labor law is the worker’s right to Equal Pay. The Equal Pay Act greatly deals with this often abused and ignored guideline. The Act at first dealt with the great disparity between wages of men and women during its early stages of implementation in 1963. The Equal Pay Act directly requires the employers to pay equal salaries whether it be a man or a woman. And also it clearly states that not only that the Pay shall be equal, also the jobs that must be performed must be equal.
