Seems we’ll never see an end to these occurrences sometime soon for the recession is taking a bit and it’s not letting go. People in sales are some of the most affected ones due to less spending from consumers. True to this, many employers have already started trimming down their workforce to save on labor costs.
This calls for diligence for as an employee of an established firm, you are entitled to severance pay. This however may not be up to par with expectations for as with many businesses, most are barely managing to keep their stores open. Bargain for a reasonable fee so you get what you deserve or even negotiate to have it paid when sales go up. Most firms offer early retirement offers for employees who have been working for sometime though this would be very unlikely in today’s economic recession. Just be amiable to negotiation so you and the company both get reasonable results.
